Borderway Agri Expo is one of the largest events in the UK Agri industry, showcasing the best quality beef cattle and sheep, the latest developments in farming practice, breeding, genetics, machinery, equipment, technology, environmental issues, livestock marketing and export opportunities. It is now known to be a true celebration of the very best British Livestock, and the farmers, breeders and stockmen who look after them.
The show is open to all UK born pedigree registered Beef Shorthorn calves born on or after 1 September 2017.
Rosettes will be awarded to the animals standing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in each class, and a championship sash will be awarded to the champion calf.
The classes will be split after entries close according to the number and age of calves entered. There will be two classes for young handlers as follows:
Young handler aged 16 and under on the day of the show
Young handler aged 17 to 21 on the day of the show
All calves must be registered with the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society and the exhibitor must be a member of the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society.
The Judge will be Ian Park.
Entries close on 24 September. Cattle to be penned on Thursday 1 November.
