The East of England Winter Stock Festival is billed as the premier Livestock show in the east of the country, attracting exhibitors from across England, Scotland and Wales.
With classes for commercial cattle, baby beef, pedigree calves, commercial lamb, breeding ewes, beef ribs and lamb carcasses and pigs, there is usually a fantastic display of some of the best livestock in the country, including Beef Shorthorns.
Their youth competition is highly acclaimed, even featuring on a 2017 episode of ‘The Farmers Country Showdown’. The 'Young Stock Person of the Year' sees competitors compete at shows throughout the Summer and Autumn to qualify for the Grand Final at the show in December, where some of the best Young Handlers in the country go head to head.
