Judge’s report

Andrew-Ivinson.jpg

It was a privilege to be asked to judge the ‘Stars of the Future’ at Stirling. My senior champions were both strong well grown animals, I was especially impressed with the heifer Ballyvaddy Tessa L863 from Tom and Kate Madden and made her my senior champion.

In the juniors, my male champion and reserve both came from the youngest class, and were both bred by Jack Ramsay, Millerston Man o'War followed by Millerston Missing Link. In the heifers, I made Rattray Maddie my champion ahead of Millerston Gretta Mandy. Rattray Maddie, forward from Rattray Estates, was a well grown and very correct heifer but still with the femininity that I like to see in females, she should make a very good cow in the future, and I was very happy to make her my junior champion.

I would like to thank all the exhibitors, UA, the organisers and my stewards for putting on such an excellent show and for making me so welcome.
